So You Wanna Contribute a Blog Post?
Thank you for your interest in contributing to FMI's blog.
For the most part, Kenisha does everything, so havin' folks onboard to contribute fresh, relevant content is a lifesaver.

Who can contribute?
Anyone with knowledge of adolescent or adult education, language education, experiential education, or tourism can become a Fill Me In English Language Services contributor. Teachers, parents, business owners, drivers, hoteliers, tour guides, and travel agents are invited and encouraged to contribute.
How often can I contribute?
Let's start with monthly contributions. If all works well (on your end and ours), we'll allow contributors to submit more often.
About what should I write?
Topics that matter to you, your clients, colleagues, competitors, vendors, education leaders, and policy-makers.
A specific niche within the education arena.
A personal experience that taught you a lesson or two.
A valuable insight no one else can offer.
The pros and cons about an industry practice or policy, government action, or anything else controversial.
Articles should be 500-800 words (longer, if the subject merits it).
Limit your introduction; get to the point.
Offering advice? Provide 3-5 (but no more than 10) action items or takeaways.
No commercials for you or your company, please.
Every writer needs an editor. Ask a colleague to review your article to make sure the points you make are clear before you submit it.
Include a one to three sentence bio, along with a link to your website, if applicable.
How do I submit an article?
Send your work, in PDF format, to kcarr [AT]fillmein.us.
Do I need to provide images?
Yes. Words are great, but folks love images! Also, by submitting images, you agree that the images are owned by you, or are legally licensed to you.
Do you edit my article?
Sometimes, but only after you've been notified. Fill Me In English Language Services reserves the right to edit all article headlines and other content to ensure that contributed articles are free of mechanical errors.
What happens after I submit my article?
Kenisha will review it to determine where it fits with our upcoming editorial calendar. When the article is ready for publication, you’ll be notified so that you’ll know when to visit Fill Me In English Language Services and see your byline!
Do you publish archival content?
Mmmm, we might. Submissions to Fill Me In English Language Services should be written or recorded specifically for publication in Fill Me In English Language Services. If you have previously published content that seems particularly well suited for the Fill Me In English Language Services audience, we would be happy to review it.
